Sanga

Rap Theater play

Writing - 01 - 2020

Sanga sees her destiny change the day her family forcefully marries her. Refusing to submit, the little girl has only one obsession: rapping. Through an initiatory journey, Sanga makes his way and encounters the founding characters of his life.

Written like a rap flow that never stops, the piece propels us in turn to the land of the Sun, symbol of a universal, violent and warm Orient, and to the land of Uncle Teddy, an idealized West with its share of disappointments.

The theme of the play, the forced marriage of young girls, is very topical. To account for this absurdity,Sanga immerses us in an offbeat and poetic universe, mixing intrinsically to the text of the piece a rap musical libretto and choreographic scores.

“Sanga” is a finalist of the Plateaux de Chelles in January 2020, and  favorite of Nicolas Lormeau from La Comédie Française.

40 minutes of the play will be staged by Clio Van de Walle in September 2021 as part of the Théâtre Gérard Philippe companionships.

Theater play without borders

Editions du Quai

The story takes place in the village of Quiwa between April 5, 2020 and June 6, 2020.

Quiwa and Madra, twin cities, which were once part of the same strong and united country, have been at war for centuries.

A major health crisis led for the first time the governments of the two villages to decree a “Ceasefire.” »

Night is twenty years old. She lives in a country where women are not allowed to sing.

Taking advantage of the wind of revolt that is blowing in her country during a confinement imposed on the population, she will participate on the Internet in the largest International Singing Competition by pretending to be a man. His dream: to give a live open-air concert in the ruins of the Central University, located on the border between the two enemy cities.

This piece tells the story of the first “woman-man” to sing at the risk of her life to save the future of her people…

“Night, my freedom!” obtained second place in the writing competition of the Center Dramatique National du Quai d'Angers directed by Thomas Jolly.

Editions Lyncéus

It is today, or maybe tomorrow.

The government of the small island of Morfia, not listed on the World Map, is launching an encrypted appeal on social networks to all people wishing to settle there to think of a new form of society.

Then begins the tragic and clownish adventure of the human being in the heart of a survivalist dystopian closed door, 100% eco-friendly!

This piece, with its dystopian and dreamlike closed-door scent, plunges us into the heart of a trash-poetic and immersive cabaret.

In the worldis published by Éditions du Lyncéus and created in Binic-Etables sur mer, in a production by Sébastien Depommier for the Lyncéus festival 2022.

The play is co-winner of the support grant for the Immersive Theater le secret/Fondation Polycarpe.
