Refusing to submit, the little girl has only one obsession: rapping. Through an initiatory journey, Sanga makes his way and encounters the founding characters of his life. Written like a rap flow that never stops, the piece propels us in turn to the land of the Sun, symbol of a universal, violent and warm Orient, and to the land of Uncle Teddy, an idealized West with its share of disappointments. The theme of the play, the forced marriage of young girls, is very topical. Clio Van de Walle Received after my baccalaureate at the International Dance Academy of Paris, I must choose between dancing or theater... Finally, my choice fell towards the Cours Florent and therefore towards the studies of Dramatic Art, notably because of a phrase heard by an austere teacher: Ladies, shush! Dance is a silent art... After 20 years of classical and jazz dance at the Rocquencourt conservatory, after dance classes at the National Conservatory of Paris, I had to stop dancing following a persistent knee problem, which arose during the creation of a show. For ten years, I played on stage, created shows, practiced yoga, led acting courses that mixed body, text and music, but never found that magical feeling of power and freedom that dance provides. My love of dance never left me, but I stifled it. To the point that coming across a classical ballet on Arte was so painful that I had to skip it as quickly as possible, to the point that in my dreams, I constantly do the same movements over and over again: sliding, cat jumping, splits... . I rediscovered the pleasure of dancing and re-inhabiting my body years later by discovering the American technique of 5 rhythms dance in London but especially on the island of Crete with the wonderful Belgian teacher Joke Von Hoye. For a year, I danced every week in a huge wooden studio alongside an upturned boat hull with an immersive view of the Aegean Sea. I then realize to what extent this classical dance teacher was decidedly wrong... Dance is anything but a silent art! Of course you do. But you don't know everything. We are as real as lies... Welcome to Mermaid Land, the last non-pixelated lagoon of life, where tourists from all over the world flock in the hope of catching a glimpse of mermaids. Under pressure from Unirêve developers, who are requisitioning reality to sell it back in virtual shares in Aqualand, the inhabitants of this small municipality have divided into two categories. On the surface, the Breathers live on artificial atolls and breathe exorbitantly priced oxygen, while under the sea, the Sunken Worlds bring together the People of the Marine Cosmos and the People of the Adapted, former land dwellers who have decided to join the resistance and leave the surface to live underwater. The fragile balance of this organisation is threatened when a viral rumour spreads: mermaids no longer exist. Seeking to reap the maximum economic and psychological benefits from this tragic disappearance, the Aqualand government is adamant that if no mermaids are sighted within seven days, it will sell Mermaid Land to the highest bidder.
